When Danny dropped this track on my laps today, I wanted to sit on it and wait for a little while, but jama!!! the more I listen to this song am amazed at the different talents in Kenya. This track definitely sounds JOMINO-ish (actually very Banjuka reloaded ish). You cant mistake the production style, but needless to say the hook, the flow, the collaboration and the delivery is off the chains.
I am definitely hooked on to DNA’s voice, that cat should have been a radio presenter – deep voiced MC in Kanye “East” Shades, his image has been up to par and he seems to maintain his artist credibility at all times. To me if you are an artists you need to be in character at all times in order to maintain your image – and those white shades were at some point synonymous with DNA (Mr. Banjuka). KenRazy for me still has a lot to do to prove himself as an artists, I drew close similarities between him and JuaCali after Tichi – but consistency has been an issue… Kaya is an artist I am not familiar with but I am hoping with time I will get fairly acquainted with his music.
We have a lot more music ready for December since we want to push all 2008 material out the door before the end of the year. We also will do a countdown for the hottest songs and artists of 2008. But for now enjoy this song – its on FIRE… Play it a few more times..
Usikatsie NGOMAAAAA!!

typical club hopping music that has no longevity, i forgot how it sounded immediately I listened to it and had no desire to listen to it again.It shows a lack of creativity from the entertainers (no musicians in this track) with a repetitive theme consisting of women, alcohol and any other superficial idea these guys had. I find myself totally frustrated with this kind of music.
Wes i do agree with some parts of your sentiment, but i one of the biggest issues have had with Kenyan artist is their emphasis on just producing “Club Joints” and then they don’t release albums. Thats why people complain about the monotony in their music. The funny thing is that they acknowledge their type of music when DNA Leaked that line “Kila saa ni lazima muimbie madame?”
I for certain don’t want to sort of “Type Cast” our artist as doing certain things in their music. Guys like DNA should have an album on the works. Jomino ent as whole has alot to offer though, i wouldn’t throw in towel yet
Ngoma zao huanga poa lakini too much of that club joints is just too much bana
I like razy kaya and dna. na mi husema sio lazima usikize hizi ngoma zenye huongea juu ya mamanzi na muwako. matter of fact i don’t like ngoma haziongei juu ya muwako na mamanzi. acha kuhate… hawa mafala wanatry kujilipa the best way the know how. ka ngoma inkuawasha jo.. mazee si lazima uskize.
id listen to KEnrazy Kaya Dna collabo over Mejja madtrazz jimwat anyday…Mayb not mejja
I sorta agree with wes, but I can see this being a huge club hit, might not be my cup of tee but songs like this have place.
Kenrazzy is beginning to sound less and less like Jua Cali..you would agree. You know, these things are tricky some times. If Kenrazzy had hit before Jua Cali watu wangesema JuaCali is copying Kenrazzy…a question of who arrives first. But let’s do this thing and lets celebrate the Banjuka-sounding Jomino Tracks. We bump our heads to Jomino tracks because, among other things, they remind us of a monster DNA hit.
So although this track is not necessarily special, it continues to pepea the flag of Jomino {And I aint rhyming}
When Jomino landed, everybody was glad that Calif were now going to get serious contenders, and if anybody was mistaken about this notion, Kenrazzy didn’t hide it by sounding like a Jua Cali that was on a higher-speed. Coz the essence of Genge is that people rap like they’re talking but The godfather himself {Nonini} nowadays does more rapping than talking but still calls its “Genge” and it’s still Genge.
But Jomino, DNA and KENRAZZY started shifting the Status Quo alittle bit and this was good for the industry. SO when you are told that it’s still Clemmo who produced “Bongo la biashara” {JuaCali and Mejja} you know he’s smelling the compe and is gearing up for something fresh. And I think he can be versitile. Compare the following beats “Chonga Viazi”-Boomba Clan, “Paulina”-Raphtaz, “Tatizo” – All Starz and utaona versatility!
