Brand New: CPwaa- Problem (GetMziki Exclusive***)

Like Tanzanians like to say – “eeee bwana quality!!!” My man Alvin dropped this heavy track earlier in the week and I was like i’ll listen to it later since I was busy during the week. Funny thing Alvin told me that CPWAA is trying to be the KING OF BONGO CRUNK, so i was like maaaaan great just what we need, another little John or Souldier Boy!

But after I sampled this track last night I knew this cat is onto something. The only problem I have is, I am not sure who to attribute more credit to – the producers (Luche and Marco Chali) or the artist (CPWAA). Coz why lie the track is heavy, the beat is busy -Luche wasnt playing when he went into the studio to package this midwesta/dirtysouth beat. But I assume it wouldnt be heavy if CPwaa didnt bless it with this problem track.

I also have a problem with the ending of the track when Cpwaa breaks into some dancehall or reggae!! Or maybe thats the freshness of the track, either way I am glad Tanzanians are on the uprise. Cpwaa hit this track with auto tune (vocoder) he apprently wants to be the king of Bongo Crunk… at this rate I dont see why we cant start handing him the crown – so far he is running the streets with this problem track.

Enjoy the joint

the beat is bananas…RESPECT 4 that killa production…sounds like some T.I amma Jeezy shit…but why sing about a chic on a beat as hard as this…this is the kinda beat 2 swag it out to…it feels like a beat 2 get lyrical on…but hey, vyenye mzeiya aliamua i guess ni sawa…if this track is killing them huko mtaani basi hamna noma…vocoder ipande…T-Pain cash hiyo check mbio…good job Luche and uh…CPwaa…how do u pronounce dudes name???

You know 2K why lie I didnt see it that way but i have to agree.. ha ha ha lol.. I mean this is a HARDCORE beat. And dude went all soft.. however I think akina Soldier Boy and Bow wow have some soft lyrics on some hard beats… lol

But thats some real talk. I never looked at it that way, that maybe us as miroos (Africans) pick up styles without really thinking about why these beats were developed initially. Crunk is some dark music, has alot of attitude and swag… its not really the kind of beat I would go soft on…

HA HA HA LOL you’ve made my day.

i hear u Leo…thats exactly what puzzled me…but i have a theory…some artists write songs 2 beats(yaani, they hear a beat n them come up with a song as soon as they hear the beat…Biggie used 2 call it “attacking the beat”…seen in recent times by artists who don’t write their rhymes…jay, weezy even ja used 2 do it), whereas others write lyrics n then use them on any new beat they get…am sure this is what Cpwaa(wha????)did…but like i said…if the shawties like it, basi then the track fulfilled its purpose…i still feel like its a swagnificent track…big ups 2 Cpwaa 4 claiming the title of King of Bongo Crunk…no 1 else had claimed it b4 so i guess title ni yake…ur thoughts,Leo????

massive respect to the beat, thats some serious -ish. im not diggin the singer/rapper to me he is not capturing the ‘mood’ of the beat. the voice and the lyrics to me are just not doing the beat any favour. quick rush and give this beat(instrumentals) to abbas kubaff or bamboo and they will kill it. or give it to that new cat from tz called chidi benz.

A tz singing in english and yet he doesn’t sound funny..pleasant surprise. Not my kind of music though

CPWAA has to be the king of crunk in the region if not bongo-crunk. every single trak he touches is ill addictive. his videos are also up there
