Ali Kiba – Usiniseme (GetMziki Exclusive)

kibanews1

Its Tuesday and its time for “GetMziki Exclusive New Music Tuesdays”. Ali Kiba who is currently on tour across the US , just recently released the first official single “Usiniseme” on his brand new album “Ali K 4Real”. I got to a chance to listen to the whole album and was really really impressed with the song selection, production quality and overall artistic maturity of Ali Kiba.

This song is already getting massive air play In Tanzania and I believe a video is in the works. This is a club banger that really “speaks” for itself. Shouts outs to Alvin and the whole Ali Kiba US management team. Enjoy!!!!!

i like that he descided to go with a dance song because not many bongo artists dare venture or “risk” going against the typical bongo its mostly lovey dovey stuff which is fine but having diversity grows the industry.

a kwaito beat that has words that i can understand, u gotta like that.

One of my favorite East African artist, I did like his first album, most of the songs were great, recently someone send me Snippets of his upcoming album and i was really dissapointed. Majority of the records have this kind of vibe with exceptions of a track named “Shababi” (my Fav).

Now not sure how many of them are going to make the cut but overall, a solid entertainer.

Alvin, didn’t know the second album was out. I’ll definitely look for it. I was thinking maybe it’s one of those albums that u have to listen to it a couple of times to appreciate it which has happened quite often. Honestly i’ve never paid TOO MUCH attention to the meaning when it comes to Bongo records, I know down-a TZ they got this writing thing down to a science, just love the vocals and melodies.

  8. Locom says:

It’s aiight 7/10. Ali Kiba, you don’t need autotune cause your ass can sing. Autotune just makes the track corny.

  9. Annie says:

Nice effort…although there was alot of clashing voices in the begginning..or was it an exaggeration of the autotune in different harmonies?!…made it sound a little bit noisy…im not sure why there was a persistence of the autotune…he doesent need it..his voice is superb the way it is..nowadays there is a misuse of that particular effect, i always thought an effect was to cover up that which an artist cant do…but it is a good song, has a tinge of south african feel to it too….different..but nice.
