D'Banj – Mo Gbono Feli Feli

Kind of late posting this, but here we go: In  other news the kokomaster has a reality show at the kokomansion with 12 Kokolettes – something like a flavor of love Nigeria style – http://www.kokomansion.tv/about.php

Jay Martins – Oyoyo (GetMziki Naija Exclusive ***)

Naija has this new thing called Proudly Nigerian that’s been going around many products produced and developed in Nigeria. I had to yank this image from Mighty Mike (big up by the way for all the massive Naija tunes). But if you notice that CD it has a small Niaja logo and flag – proudly Naija. It just made me wonder what happened to BRAND Kenya – and the elusive dream of branding Kenyan products – Proudly Kenyan?

Anyway – Not too many people know or have heard of Jay Martins, but the singer/ producer was the man behind the “Good or Bad” hit a while back. Anyway he is back at it again with this big tune titled OYOYO – this is BIG TUNE. Trust me this track has Naija buzzing like whoa! First time I heard it I knew this was a banger – so am blessing GetMziki with this hit.

Enjoy the track

2Face Feat R-Kelly – Flex

2face2

I’ll start the post by saying that this is not a new song. This song has been out since December last year when I got it, amidst the crazy hype of the Naija media and street bootleggers going hysterical over the “historic” collabo.
On this track, 2Face enlists the help of megastar R. Kelly for an “international Flex” collabo, with R. Kelly handling the production duties where he samples Mad Cobra’s ‘Flex’. The reason I decided to share this song is to see what people out there think of the track. All I know is that many people had expected this to be the “song/collabo” of the year. I guess the jury is still out on this one. Enjoy!!!!!

P-Square – Ifunyanya

dru_with_psquare

I am going to do a pair of quick posts today since there is a back log we need to process this week which also included the DJ sets. One of my all time favorite songs is this P-Square song called Ifunanya. I believe Ifunanya means love in some Ibo or Yoruba language. But out of all their tracks, this is probably the track that I keep playing over and over again.

Best Remix Ever by DJ MikeLove : Jay Z – Roc Boys (Fela Version)

The previous post on the K zoo crew has attracted too much attention so I need to kinda water it down, before the site gets destructive. Some people need to learn to take constructive criticism and move on or simply argue out your rationale and then move on.

Moving on swiftly!

If you live in Chi town (Chicago) then you probably have heard of DJ Mike Love who for me is probably one of the few DJs i have come to respect over time for his blends and mixes… and I specifically say this from a production perspective. Ive been bumping to this for a while now and thought I would share it, on Mikes blog he also has shared a bunch of goodies (all in efforts to empower other music enthusiasts – http://mikelovenotwar.blogspot.com/) but for now just listen to this classic blend and remix of Jay Z’s Roc boys over Fela Kuti beats. I wanted to premier this joint during Nigeria’s independence day which just passed a few weeks ago but I slept on it. For all the music enthusiast enjoy and be creative!

This track is off a whole mixtape called Nigerian Gangster
