The Tanzania Kili awa were held last Saturday and in the next few weeks I’m going to be showcasing some of the award winners. The first song I’m going to showcase took home the award of “Collabo Of The Year” and is by Zenji flava R & B star AT Feat Bongo Diva Stara Thomas. The track is called “Nipigie”. Zenji Flava is a music genre that emerged in Zanzibar in the 90’s and it’s an evolution of hip hop music combined with a variety of Zanzibar sounds.
AT represents the Uswazi crew from Zanzibar and on this song that was sampled from an old tune classic, they talk about how important it is to call your lover so as to enrich the relationship.
