BBC recently featured a nice lengthy piece on the origins of the Azonto craze dance that has taken the world by storm. I like how BBC picks up on African stories and amplifies them. I wish CNN had the same attitude, though even if CNN picked this sto
ry up, it would probably be on CNN international or on Inside Africa CNN. Basically two platforms that the average American could care less about.
Either way as we start to expand our vision for GetMziki for 2013, we will try to expose some of these interesting stories from across Africa that inspire our music and and redefining the next generation.
